Language no problem (dance performance) with some spoken text (in English).
Ten dancers, three musicians in a performance inspired by Homer's Odyssey. The King of Ithaka appears as a film-noir hero in this contemporary tale about the courage needed to liv your own life.
The prize winning choreographer duo Guy Weizman and Roni Haver present My Private Odyssey, in collaboration with tanzmainz. Homerus’s classic telling of Odysseus, the king of Ithaka who after the Trojan War wants nothing more than to return home, was the inspiration for this thrilling journey on stage. Odysseus’s homeward journey is filled with obstacles and astounding encounters. It is a metaphor for the path of life of every person, in which creativity and courage are tested. In the energetic and headstrong Guy & Roni style the dancers and musicians go on their own journey, in which both the best and the worst in every person is revealed. A story about having the courage to lead your own life and being able to do more than you every thought possible.
